Duke Neurobiology welcomes Tiffany Schmidt, PhD, Associate Professor of Neurobiology at Northwestern University, hosted by Suva Roy, PhD, Senior Research Associate. ABSTRACT: Light influences behavior and physiology in myriad ways. The melanopsin-expressing, intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) project throughout the brain to mediate diverse functions. This seminar will center on new behavioral functions for these ipRGCs.
