Right Hemisphere Stroke Documentary Film, “Hidden Diagnosis,” Screening and Discussion

Bring your lunch to a screening of the award winning documentary about right hemisphere disorder (RHD) entitled, "RHD Hidden Diagnosis". This 29-minute film explores the impact of right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) on stroke survivors and their loved ones. It chronicles the struggles and triumphs of survivors and follows a group of NCCU speech-language pathology graduate students as they navigate the Covid-19 pandemic and learn to lead an online RHD stroke survivor communication treatment group. This compelling documentary has been aired on PBS.
Following the documentary will be an in-person Q&A discussion with the co-producers of the film, researcher and clinician Dr. Jamila Minga (Duke), and director Michael Pearce (NCCU).
