Please join us for the next presentation in our 2022-2023 Duke Center for Autism Speaker Series! Our speaker will be Steven Kapp, PhD, a developmental psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom. Dr. Kapp is an autistic advocate who has supported systems change work for inclusive employment and influenced the DSM-5 autism diagnosis. His research examines autism as a construct as well as how conceptions of autism, neurodiversity, and support associate with identity, lived experiences, and quality of life. He is editor of Autistic Community and the Neurodiversity Movement: Stories from the Frontline, the first history of the neurodiversity movement by firsthand accounts of advocates and activists.
