$15 Million Award Announced for Duke Autism Research

DIBS faculty Geraldine Dawson and her colleague Joanne Kurtzberg have received an award to fund the first two years of a five-year project. Their project “explores the use of umbilical cord blood cells to treat autism, stroke, cerebral palsy and related brain disorders.” The award is a gift from The Marcus Foundation.
