DIBS Leaders Part of NIH HEAL Grant

Current and former DIBS Faculty Steering Committee members Warren Grill, PhD, Biomedical Engineering, and Fan Wang, PhD, Neurobiology, respectively, are among Duke faculty leading projects funded by a $24 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The funding comes from NIH's Helping to End Addiction Long-term Initiative (NIH HEAL), and seeks to apply scientific solutions to improve treatments for chronic pain, curb the rates of opioid use disorder and overdose, and achieve long-term recovery for opioid addiction.
