DIBS is pleased to present the Fall 2019 Inclusion & Power Dynamics Series, with support from the Office of Faculty Administration. Dates, locations & topics:

  • Oct. 24, 8:30-10 a.m., and Nov. 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., DIBS Multipurpose Room, "Navigating Difficult Conversations from a Low-Power Position"--This workshop will focus on speaking persuasively and effectively, and approaching disagreements with positive expectations. Speakers: Gina Rogers & Don Shortslef, Duke Learning & Organization Development
  • Oct. 28, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Trent Semans 4067, "Mentoring Diverse Groups: How to Bring Out the Best in All"--This workshop is for anyone in a mentoring role! It will focus on skills and topics such as active listening, providing constructive feedback, recognizing and mitigating bias, and maximizing equity and inclusion. Facilitator: Leonor Corsino, MD, MHS, Office for Faculty Mentoring, Duke School of Medicine.
