Interdisciplin. Studies/Bass Connections Funding Opportunities
Babies & Children Thrive, Course Development Grants
The Office of the Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Studies and Bass Connections are pleased to announce two funding opportunities:
- All Babies and Children Thrive Seed Grants: Through this new initiative, one-year grants of $20,000 to $30,000 are available to seed innovative and applied research related to early childhood development (prenatal to age 5). Proposals are due March 9, and interested parties are strongly encouraged to submit a letter of intent by February 9 (all letters will receive feedback and will be used to form review committees). - Bass Connections Course Development Grants: Course development funds up to $5,000 are available to support the development or modification of courses that model key elements of Bass Connections (team-based, applied learning around interdisciplinary challenges; multi-level participation when possible; engagement with community organizations). Proposals are due March 2. All regular-rank faculty, including those from professional schools and institutes, may propose courses. Proposers do not need to have previously participated in Bass Connections. Courses may be offered at any level.
