Class of 2017

Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona

Current research: Computational neurobiology. I’m working to simulate a circuit of model neurons in the area MT, which is involved in smooth pursuit eye movements. I’m also attempting to determine how the ratio of independent and shared noise affects the output of the circuit.

My thoughts on neuroscience education: I like that there are a vast selection of elective courses that cover a wide variety of neuroscience topics. It’s like we can get a glimpse into a more specialized field in the world of neuroscience.
