Student Spotlight

Class of 2017

Hometown: Guatemala

Current Research: My research is on non-invasive neuromodulation, specifically on the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) treatment on the brain connectivity of depressed patients. I am looking at the structural and functional differences in the organization of the brain network of patients with treatment-resistant depression.

My thoughts on neuroscience education: It provides a good foundation to understand the field generally. It’s thought-provoking, stimulating and leaves you intrigued to learn more.

What jump-starts my brain: Learning about our brain will give us a better insight into our mind, ultimately helping us understand ourselves.
