Study Treatment Via Video Game Could Improve Attention in ADHD

Dr. Scott Kollins, DIBS Faculty Network Member, Principal Author

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects 11 percent of school-aged children in the U.S. and often leads to behavioral, academic and social challenges. A new study suggests a digital treatment in the form of a video game specifically designed to improve attention could hold potential as a future treatment for the condition. Scott Kollins, PhD, is a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute and director of the ADHD program at the Duke University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences. More information from Duke Health here.
