Ella Whitehead is a sophomore at Duke University pursuing an interdisciplinary Program II degree integrating neuroscience, global health, ethics, religion, and documentary studies. As a Communication and Media Assistant with the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences, she is interested in the intersection of neuroscience and the human experience, particularly how neurological disease shapes identity, personhood, and quality of life. With a background in photography and visual storytelling, Ella is passionate about translating complex scientific research into compelling narratives that advance public understanding of neuroscience and health.
